The Washington Department of Transportation recently has announced the closure of Highway 112 at Milepost 33 from Sept. 8-12.

BUT the Great Strait Sale still will happen on Saturday, Sept. 10. The sales at the Joyce end can be accessed as usual on Highway 112 going east to west. The sales at Clallam Bay-Sekiu and Neah Bay can be accessed from Highways 101/113 (Burnt Mountain) and then onto Highway 112.

Those traveling the entire event route will just have to make the jog onto Highway 101 … not a bad route to take around Lake Crescent during the 100th anniversary of the National Park System and the fall colors coming on! Nice bonus!
