The Forks City Council had approved the 1975 budget for $444,484. A traveling Santa was coming to town. The cost was $1 per family and 25 cents per child. The activity was sponsored by the school PTA. On the school lunch menu for Dec. 13 was tuna noodle casserole, carrots, yeast puffs, fruit cobbler, and milk.
This week in 1952 the Hospital Guild had met and mended and repaired drapes and other hospital items that needed to be repaired. The guild also discussed how to start a local nursing course. The VFW was taking part in the Unknown Friends program, helping provide gifts for Veterans in need. In the Pay and Save Foods weekly display ad, Florida tangerines were 12 cents per pound.
