This week twenty five years ago, the FHS chapter of FCCLA brought home gold from Regionals and qualified for State competition (photo). There were more QVSA photos (photo). Concerned Citizens held a “Family Night.” Decorating cookies was part of the activities (photo). The Peninsula Wrestling Club had made a strong showing at a Tournament in Raymond, bringing home 21 medals (photo).
This week in 1975 Deputy Marshals Rice and Anderson had searched a wooded area for clues after items were found there that had been stolen out of the Forks Ambulance. The Congregational Church Bell Choir had performed at Church. The Mesenbrinks had welcomed a daughter on March 22.
This week in 1953 the American Legion had dedicated the “Rosmond Room” at the post with a celebration. It was named in honor of Robert Rosmond who had donated several 100 hours of labor toward its construction. Rosmond modestly protested the honor. The Legion Auxiliary was planning the community Easter Egg Hunt and seeking egg donations.
