1975 – missing edition

This week in 1953 it was reported that the Forks Airport was the first small airport in Washington State to have modern field and strip lighting. The lighting had been surplus army equipment, with volunteer help for installation. The Pink Project was up for sale by the Public Housing Administration. The two buildings had a total of 20 units. Myron Simmons had been elected as the new commander of the Forks VFW Post. Tealy Taylor had won the ham at the grand re-opening of the Evergreen Cafe. In advertising the ‘53 Henry J was in at Anderson K.F. Motors, offering 30 miles on the gallon.
