Peninsula College Little Theater/Peninsula College Forks Extension Site via interactive video feed
Interested Forks citizens will be able to participate in an AWP/CLT presentation at the Forks Branch of Peninsula College, 481 S. Forks Ave. The purpose of the presentation is to hear various local and state experts talk about the potential that AWP/CLT may have for future economic development and (re)growth on the North Olympic Peninsula.
Topics will include the infrastructure associated with manufacturing Cross Laminated Timber, the ecological opportunities that CLT products could create in addressing local forest health issues, and the uses associated with CLT.
Following those presentations, there will be a panel discussion about the aspects of developing an advanced wood product initiative for the North Olympic Peninsula.
Many communities are clamoring to be a part of the AWP/CLT market opportunities. This is an exciting first step at looking at the possibilities.
