Community volunteers are organizing a spaghetti dinner and silent auction benefit for Quillayute Valley School District Boardmember Rick Gale is set for Friday, Dec. 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Forks Elks Lodge on Merchants Road.

Gale is a long-time coach and supporter of youth programs on the West End.

The benefit is being held to assist Gale and his family with medical-related expenses.

Those wishing to help the family can donate an item to the silent auction, make a cash contribution at Sterling Savings Bank and can attend the spaghetti feed. There will also be drawings and games for kids at the event.
