Bogachiel Garden Club Annual Tea to Feature Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue Program

The Bogachiel Garden Club is set to host its much-anticipated Annual Tea on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 280 Spartan Avenue in Forks. This year’s featured program will spotlight the Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue, an organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured wild birds on the Olympic Peninsula.

“Whether you’re a bird lover or just curious about wildlife conservation, you will love this program, and we are very fortunate to be able to host it here in Forks,” said Janet Hughes, President of the Bogachiel Garden Club.

One of the highlights of the event will be an appearance by Gandalf, a Great Horned Owl, who serves as an educational ambassador for the Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue. While Gandalf cannot return to the wild, he plays an important role in educating the public about wildlife conservation. Attendees will also enjoy a screen presentation and have the chance to meet other rescued birds brought by the rescue team.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the incredible work being done to protect and rehabilitate wild birds on the Olympic Peninsula. Tickets for the event, priced at $15, have been in high demand since mid-December and only a few remain. The ticket includes the program, snacks, door prizes and more. Those interested in securing one of the remaining seats are encouraged to call 360-640-1401 as soon as possible.
