Boy Scouts from Troop 1467 in Forks took a hike and camped last weekend  based from the Olympic National Park’s Hoh Rainforest on Friday, Sept. 28 and Saturday, Sept. 29, and came out on Sunday, Sept. 30. Seven Boy Scouts took part in the hike. Pictured are (from left): Zach Carlson, Jeffrey Whidden, Damin Voyles and Braxton Fouts. Also going on the hike were Max Buckner, Randall Anderson and Seth Tuttle. Scouts Carlson and Fouts have earned Life Scout awards and are working towards being Eagle Scouts, with Zach planning to build benches for the Association of Washington Generals’ Sv. Nikolai Memorial project located along the Upper Hoh Road. The younger scouts on the hike worked on earning merit badges. Scouts from the troop have taken part in three pre-game flag ceremonies at Seattle Mariners games.
