The fifth and final film in Summit Entertainment’s Twilight Saga series is scheduled to open in movie theaters nationwide on Thursday, Nov. 18. The launch of new Twilight films have since the release of Twilight – the first film in the series – created renewed interest in Forks as the location of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer’s books.
Twilight fans and commentators are speculating that the fifth and final film in the Twilight Saga series isn’t the last fans will see on Twilight on the big or little screen. There is talk of a Quileute werewolf TV series spin off and a Voltair vampire spin off. Should Stephenie Meyer write additional Twilight books the Twilight Saga series could have a new companion series.

Below is a group shot that focuses on Bella (Kirsten Stewart) and Edward’s (Rob Pattinson) vampire daughter Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) as Quileute Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) watches. The film locations are in British Columbia, in the Vancouver and Vancouver Island area. Due to tax incentives from other states and provinces, and other financial factors, none of the five Twilight films were filmed in the Forks area.
The film will likely open in Port Angeles on Nov. 18, possibly again with a line of fans waiting in line for hours.
The plot of Breaking Dawn 2 takes place following the birth of Bella and Edward’s daughter Renesmee. To protect the family the Cullen family of vampires call in other vampire clans due to rumors started about Bella, Edward and Renesmee that cause them to appear before the head vampires in Volturi, Italy.
