Clallam Bay School was locked down Thursday, Oct. 10, as Clallam County deputies searched for a 25-year-old man accused of a domestic violence episode at a home nearby.

Deputies and federal Border Patrol agents arrested Taylor P. Hill on suspicion of second-degree assault-domestic violence and on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants, according to Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian King.

According to King’s report, emergency crews were called by a resident of 16670 Highway 112 west of Kalawa Street at 11:15 a.m. with a report that a handgun-wielding man was threatening to shoot everyone in the house.

King said the school, at 16993 Highway 112 was locked down from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. as a precaution.

Officers found Hill living in an outbuilding, King said.

The report said King was arguing with residents of the house about the treatment of his girlfriend, who was not named, when he pulled his gun.

Officers found a BB air gun replica of a Colt Defender .45 ACP during a search of his residence.

Charges have been forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office.
