Clallam County Genealogy Society Program and Rummage Sale

On Saturday, Aug. 10 the Clallam County Genealogical Society will host Linda Debe – “The Sleepless Genealogist” as the Guest speaker for their August meeting. Her topic will be “Google My Maps: Visualizing Our Ancestors’ Lives”.

Part of the Google app package, ‘Google My Maps’, allows us to visualize our ancestors’ lives from migration patterns, cemetery locations, and trip planning, to helping decide if documents and facts are really plausible for an ancestor. Learn the basic features of ‘Google My Maps’ and start visualizing your ancestor’s lives and environment.

Linda Debe is a lecturer, writer, and lifelong student with over forty years of genealogical research experience. She holds a degree in Electronics Technology and has graduated from the ProGen 54 Study Group as a part of her continual education and studies.

A brief meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed with Linda’s presentation. It will be available via Zoom or by joining us at the Clallam County Research Center, 403 E. 8th Street in Port Angeles, WA. The Zoom meeting number and passcode will be made available by emailing the Society: askus@clallamcogs.org, or calling: 360-417-5000 Tues-Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. or Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m.
