Ron Cameron currently serves as the Chief Criminal Deputy and has been with the Sheriff’s Office since March 1, 1985 when he was hired as a Patrol Deputy.
In May 1990, Cameron transferred to Detectives where he remained until his promotion to Patrol Sergeant in February 1999. On March 1, 2002, Cameron was promoted to Captain and in September 2007 he was sworn in as the Chief Criminal Deputy by Sheriff Benedict. Brian King currently works the west end of Clallam County as the Patrol Sergeant.
King was hired as a Deputy Sheriff in August 2001 then transferred to Detectives in April 2006. On January 1, 2008, Brian King was promoted to Patrol Sergeant by Sheriff Benedict. Jim Dixon was hired as a Lateral Entry Patrol Deputy in June 2007 after serving as a Police Officer for the City of Forks for 9 years. Dixon is very familiar with the west end community and will be living and working out west. The swearing-in ceremony will be held Monday, March 2 at 10 a.m. in the Emergency Operations Center, 223 E. 4th Street.
King said, “The West End will lose my sole attention as my responsibilities now shift as the Chief Deputy to all the area operations countywide. I think the new position will benefit the people of Forks as well. Jim Dixon is now working with me out West as I work on transitioning my workstation to the courthouse.”
