Many problems children develop are rather easily solved or prevented when they are detected early in the child’s life.
If you have any concerns about your child’s development, take advantage of the free developmental screenings of the school district. Your child will be screened for physical skills, hearing, vision, intellectual functioning and speech and language development.
If you have concerns regarding your child, call your neighborhood school to set up an appointment. When you call, ask to speak with the specialist in charge of child find for the birth-21 program.
