SOS helps Cancer Patients
SOS, Soroptimists Oncology Support, helps MEN and WOMEN cancer patients of the West End pay transportation expenses for their treatment.
Soroptimist of the Olympic Rain Forest has assisted upwards of 50 cancer patients in the last 12 years with their gas/travel expenses for traveling to get their treatment either in Sequim, Bremerton, or Seattle.

SECOND CHANCES MEDICAL LOAN CLOSET and Women’s Clothing Thrift Store has been closed due to high COVID numbers in our community.
SECOND CHANCES will reopen with regular hours beginning SUNDAY, Feb. 13.
Weekly Hours are -Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Fridays 12-5 p.m., and Sundays 12-4 p.m.
The clothing store also has approximately 200 Prom/Formal dresses (long and short) to lend and/or sell.
College to Host Three Virtual Running Start Info Nights Beginning Feb. 28
Peninsula College will host three, virtual Running Start Information Nights via Zoom, at 6 p.m., Feb. 28, March 8, and April 13.
The events are designed to provide prospective Running Start students and their parents with an opportunity to learn more about the program and how high school juniors and seniors can earn college credit, tuition-free. They will also learn about strategies for success and what parents and families can do to be supportive.
