A local “superfood” from the ocean
Did you know that Nori is abundant on our local beaches? Do you want to learn how to harvest wild Nori? Are you curious about the what makes Nori a superfood? Are you already a fan of the salty umami flavor unique to seaweeds and looking for new ideas on how to prepare Nori?
For answers to those questions – and more! – come to the Sunsets West Co-op in Clallam Bay for another fun class learning about one of our local “wild” foods. The class will be held Sunday, June 10 starting at noon.
We will be covering how to harvest Nori (with tips on when and where), demonstrating processing and preservation techniques, learning about nutritional benefits, and trying out some new recipes.
If you are ready to replace the highly processed and excessively packaged sheets of Nori shipped from far away places and sold at exorbitant prices and give our local Nori a try instead – then join us for this fun and informative class.
