The ribbon cutting for the new Forks High School addition was held on Wednesday afternoon, April 18. The event was delayed over a month due to school closures due to heavy snow during the winter. Students began attending the 21st century school addition on Jan. 3.

Several hundred community members, students, construction firm representatives, teachers and school staff, and members of the Quillayute Valley School District Board who worked on initiating, funding and overseeing the project. 

Tours of the new school building were scheduled to run from 5:30 through 7:30 p.m. later in the day. Students led community members on a tour following the ribbon cutting.
