Storytime at library

The Forks Branch of the North Olympic Library System will present weekly storytimes for preschoolers ages 3 to 5 on Friday mornings at 10:30am beginning April 5 and running through May 3.  In May the Forks Branch Library will be moving to a temporary location to make way for a major building renovation.  More information about the closure of the Library and the temporary relocation will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.

Storytime programs feature rhymes, songs, dancing and the best books for young children.  Storytimes are always dynamic and fun, and they create critical early literacy opportunities for young children and their parents or caregivers.  They help to promote a love of reading while helping kids learn key language skills.  Library storytimes also provide support to parents and caregivers.  Tips on effective ways to read, talk, sing, and play with children are offered.  These are important skills which help prepare children for a successful school experience.
