Pastor Warren Johnson and the Congregation of the Forks Congregational Church would like to invite the community to attend the 85th-annual Harvest Dinner on Friday, Oct. 12. As always this event happens thanks to help from friends from the community that pull it all together.
The menu is roast turkey, turkey stuffing, mash potatoes with turkey gravy, sweet potatoes, baked salmon, a variety of salads, apple and pumpkin pie, plus a variety of drinks. The cost is $10 for adults, $6 for seniors over 62 and children under 12.
Where in town can you get a full meal with dessert and drinks for ten bucks and a good time to boot. This event runs in conjunction with Hickory Shirt-Heritage Days.
Many People said that they have lived here for a long time and have never attended. Boy you do not know what you are missing out on! Some good home cooking and a great time had by all.
The proceeds from this dinner help out with the cost of the nonprofit groups that meet at the church, which are many.
