Forks Police Chief Mike Rowley shared at the last West End Business meeting that several Forks Avenue businesses and one unoccupied residence had been the victims of copper theft.
The Peninsula College Forks-site had its cooling system stripped of the copper tubing also releasing about $1,200 worth of freon.
The other building hit houses the Keller Williams Real Estate office. Thieves went under the building there.
Nearby cameras did catch some of the activity.
The FPD also asked the nearby citizens to check their cameras. In the home copper was pulled through the wall. Shears were used to remove the copper.
Scrap dealers have been notified of the theft.
