Arrests made in Forks

An arrest was made last week of a suspect of a home break-in and burglary. Tyeson F. Lagambina, 22, was arrested on felony charges on Wednesday, Dec. 21 for investigation of second-degree theft, residential burglary, second-degree possession of stolen property and malicious mischief.

He is being held in Clallam County Jail  with bail set at $10,000. He is to be arraigned on Friday, Jan. 6 in Clallam County Superior Court.

Lagambina is a suspect of home break-ins in Forks, including a reported bold mid-day burglary of a home off Bogachiel Way in which firearms, valuable coins, cash and other items were reportedly stolen.

A home in the Valley View neighborhood was also burglarized around the same date. Forks Police Department Sgt. Ed Klahn reported to the Peninsula Daily News that evidence found at a burglarized home led to Lagambina’s arrest.

Earlier in December a Forks home and the now-shuttered Forks business The Smoke House restaurant were hit by burglars. A supply of alcoholic beverages and televisions were stolen from the restaurant.

Lagambina is being investigated in other burglaries, according to Klahn.

Mayor Bryon Monohon said Tuesday that the Forks Police Department is working closely with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Department in solving the crimes and arresting those involved.

“The names of those involved are not unfamiliar to us,” Monohon said. “They have gotten away with this stuff for too long. They’re upping the ante and getting themselves into dangerous hot water. We know who these people are, they’ve been familiar to us for many years.”

In a joint press release, the Forks Police  Department and the Sheriff’s Office stated: “Partnerships were immediately established between the investigating law enforcement agencies, the public, and the crime victims.  As a result of everyone’s efforts, a number of suspects and persons of interests potentially responsible for the crimes were identified. The joint investigations, thus far, have led to the arrests of 22 year old Forks resident Tyeson F. Lagambina and Elijah R. Daniels.  Both are currently incarcerated at the Clallam County Jail on charges as a result of to the…investigations. Agencies have arrested several other persons, believed to have been involved or have knowledge of the investigations, on a variety of unrelated charges. Additional arrests are anticipated as deputies and officers continue their investigations.”
