The Student of the Month project is sponsored by Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest and Students of the Month are chosen by their peers and teachers.
The Soroptimists “adopted” the Forks Junior High School to help provide positive rewards for students who consistently display respect and responsibility for their behavior and academic achievement and to help with communication between the school and parents via a monthly newsletter published by SIORF and FJHS.
Seth Davis, is the son of Russel and Anita Davis and he is in Mrs. Decker’s seventh-grade block class. Seth was chosen by his peers because he is smart, always is respectful and helps others with math. Seth enjoys science, block class, reading and also likes to hang out with his friends. He is a football player in the fall and a wrestler in the winter.
Brenna King, the daughter of Brian and Brenda King, is in Mrs. Decker’s seventh-grade block class. She was chosen by her peers because she is very polite and goes the extra mile to do what is right. Brenna always follows the class rules, pays attention and stays on task. She is never mean and is kind to everyone. Brenna enjoys softball and hanging out with friends. She included playing softball and painting nails as her hobbies.
Gabe Reaume, son of Justin and Diana Reaume, is in Ms. Taylor’s eighth-grade block class. He was chosen by his peers because he is just a nice kid. He gives cheer and laughter to others. He shares his school supplies and helps others with their work. He enjoys playing sports in general.
Brianna Jacobson is the daughter of Michael and Angela Jacobson and she is in Mr. Burton’s eighth-grade block class. She was nominated by her peers because she is kind and helps others. Brianna is smart and works hard to get good grades. She is a good friend and is respectful of her classmates. In her spare time, Brianna enjoys reading and hanging out with her friends.
Congratulations to these Students of the Month who received a certificate and a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. Students were honored with their parents at a luncheon at school.
