Almost two years ago a telephone call from Mary Ulin and Susan Allen announced that on behalf of their mother Edith Allen they would like to donate her gardening library to the Bogachiel Garden Club. Kris Ayers and Judi McClanahan were co-presidents at that time.

The books have been cataloged recently by Judi and her daughter Tani McBeth. They can be checked out by BGC members and will be introduced at each club meeting beginning Wednesday, Sept. 18, when the club resumes their monthly meetings.

Two requirements for checking out a book are that they are treated with extreme care and that children are not allowed to play with them.

BGC meets the third Wednesday of the month September through June at the community center on Maple Ave. Meetings start at 1:15 p.m. Dues are $15 per year and new members are always welcome.
