Clallam County Fire Protection District No. I, Forks, responded to a structure fire early this morning at 711 Bogachiel Way. The call came in at 3:14 a.m. Fire Cheif Bill Paul stated that upon the department’s arrival the structure was about 45 percent involved.

“We approached it defensively and then offensively,” Paul said. Paul also reported that there was nobody home at the time of the fire. He also shared that there was a vehicle in the garage, where the fire appeared to have started, which made the fire more intense.

Paul said certified department members are investigating the cause and at this time it is still under investigation but it does not appear suspicious.
