The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) invites families and children of all ages to view an exclusive performance of Fly Through My Window with Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards! The special performance will be held virtually on NOLS’ social media and YouTube pages, and be available from Monday, Feb. 1 – Sunday, Feb. 7.
Fly Through My Window is a new virtual concert filled with African American folk songs like “She’ll be Coming Round the Mountain,” “Miss Mary Mack,” and “Hambone” (featuring juba master, Uncle Devin) in an interactive and educational setting. Introducing a brief history behind these songs as well as the corresponding call-and-response and challenging clapping movements, Jazzy Ash invites the whole family to sing along and celebrate the music of New Orleans as part of the American folk music heritage.
NOLS also has Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards CDs available for checkout! Place a hold to pick up curbside at your local branch.
Make a virtual visit to the library at www.nols.org to check out more programing and services available through your library. For more information, call 360-417-8500 or email Youth@nols.org. This program is generously funded by local Friends of the Library groups.
