Exploring Heritage Through Heirlooms

The Mendful Program (Ginger’s Closet & Disaster Relief) invites community members to submit heirloom items that have been passed down from past generations to be showcased at the Rainforest Arts Center for the launch of Hickory Shirt/Heritage Days on Saturday, September 21 at the Rainforest Arts Center.

Your heirloom artifacts whether they be vintage clothing, lovingly stitched textiles, family photographs, historical documents or favorite recipes serve as tangible links to the past and offer a glimpse into the lives and traditions of our ancestors. By contributing to this exhibit, you not only preserve their personal histories but also share their unique stories with others, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of our collective heritage. This collaborative effort promises to create a tapestry of memories, highlighting the diverse backgrounds and shared experiences that make our community truly special.

Your item will be gently placed for display with a hands-off policy and diligently protected during the event.

Please contact Patsy Brown to talk about your potential submission. E-mail: Mendful@gingerscloset.org,direct message, phone: (360)374-2565, or stop by Ginger’s Closet & Disaster Relief at 170 Sol Duc Way in Forks any Monday between 1 and 6pm.
