Forks Community Hospital was recently awarded a grant for $15,000 by Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation, Inc. to improve patient safety.
Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation, Inc. was established to support charitable organizations and endeavors that improve patient safety and care, promote healthy lifestyles, and support individuals and organizations that provide healthcare. Since its inception in 2013, the Foundation has donated more than $7 million in charitable contributions.
The focus for the hospital is to apply these funds in several ways for patient safety: Educational programming for television or computer access in the Bogachiel Clinic and hospital Emergency waiting room, and in hospital patient care rooms with enhanced computer access. Both of these projects will enhance patient safety at Forks Community Hospital.
