Ryan Anderson is a 7th grader whose proud parents are Eric and Tisha Anderson. His favorite subject in school is Social Studies, his favorite food is deer meat, and his favorite hobbies are fishing, hunting, and hiking. His dream job is to enlist in the Special Forces. Staff at Forks Junior High say that Ryan is a positive, respectful, friendly, considerate, and empathetic person who works hard, stays on top of classwork, always makes up work after an absence, and advocates for himself and others. One teacher said, “Ryan is so deserving of this honor; he is a dedicated, responsible student with great time management and greater passion for learning and also then educating others. His willingness to teach others and open up about his own life has been greatly appreciated by myself and his fellow classmates.” Another teacher said, “Ryan is a perfect example of perseverance through adversity. His willingness and optimistic outlook to try and learn new things makes him someone others can rely on. It is a joy to see his smiling face walk into the classroom.”

Rowan Ball is a 7th grader whose proud parents are Bob and Corey Ball. Her favorite subjects in school are Math and ELA, her favorite food is steak, and her favorite hobbies are reading and riding quads with her cousin. Her goal this year is to get a 4.0, and her dream job is to become a therapist or criminal investigator. Staff report that Rowan is an eager, goal-oriented learner with a great eye for detail, strong work ethic, and awesome sense of humor. In fact, one teacher said, “Not only does Rowan come to each class practiced and prepared to perfection, but she is also always ready with the funniest comments. She is a hoot to have in class!” Another teacher said, “Rowan Ball is one of those students who lead by example, socially and academically. She is intrinsically motivated to learn and grow, so she sets a high bar for herself and is willing to put in the work to reach high goals, never faltering when the going gets tough. The world would be a better place if there were more Rowan Balls in it.”

Kyra Neel is an 8th grader whose proud parents are Jenn LeDuke and James Neel. Her favorite subjects in school are Math and PE, her favorite food is Mike and Ikes, and her favorite hobbies are playing sports and teaching swim lessons at the FAAC. Her goal this year has been to get honor roll every quarter, and her dream job is to become an athletic trainer. One teacher reports, “Kyra is one of those people that really walks her talk, working incredibly hard do her best, yet so patient to help others do their best. She impresses me with her awesome blend of strength and benevolence and sunny disposition.” Another teacher said, “Kyra is not just a great student, but she is a great human, outstanding model of a citizen in our school, great example to others, and awesome leader. She strives to do her best in all ventures, whether it’s doing homework or teaching kids to swim. She is funny and light-hearted, and she makes my day better just by being in my class.”

Kadie Wood is an 8th grader whose proud parents are Clint and Amy Wood. Her favorite subjects in school are Math and Social Studies, her favorite food is flavor-blasted goldfish, and her favorite things to do outside of school are playing sports, riding quads with her dad, doing fine arts, and hanging out with Grady. Kadie’s goal this year was to get honor roll every quarter, and her dream job is to become an ultrasound technician. Kadie is an exemplary student at Forks Junior High, with a great sense of humor, extreme work ethic, and immaculate effort every day. One teacher said, “Kadie exemplifies precision both artistically and mathematically, and I so look forward to seeing what she creates. In fact, I often copy her tests as guides for other students.” Another teacher said, “Kadie is a perfectionist, passionately driven towards discovering the right and best answer and getting as high a score as possible on assignments. She’s a great example to others, excellent team-leader, and wonderful student to have in class.”
