FJHS October Students of the Month

Trystan Crew Imel is a 7th grader whose proud parents are Tony and Joella Imel. His favorite subjects in school are Math and Language Arts, his favorite food is pizza, and his dream job is to become a bounty hunter. Trystan loves football and most games, and he likes cooking…. sometimes! This year, his goal is to get all A’s in school. Forks Junior High staff report that Trystan is a kind, receptive, and respectful student with a great sense of humor; he works hard every class, and he makes all team projects more efficient and inclusive, going out of his way to help students and teachers. One teacher said, “Trystan has a great eagerness and ability to really learn and dig deep in assignments, surpassing expectations consistently.” Another teacher said, “Trystan has consistently approached Junior High with honor, diligence, and a smile! He is willing to put in the hard work to earn top grades.” Congratulations on winning Student of the Month, Trystan!

Erika Williams is a 7th grader whose proud mom is Adria Williams. Her favorite subjects in school are Math and ELA, her favorite food is potstickers, and her favorite hobbies are playing video games, softball, and volleyball. Her dream job is to write books. Teachers at Forks Junior High report that Erika is a positive, focused, respectful, hardworking student who produces quality work, asks great, clarifying questions, checks her work for accuracy, and contributes depth and meaningful ideas to class discussions. One teacher said, “Erika is a quiet leader in class, who really sets the standard of excellence for what being a student-athlete means; for instance, she always immediately seeks missed work after Volleyball games, even for her Elective class! Her integrity and work ethic exceeds her age. She truly represents what it means to be a Spartan.” Congratulations on winning Student of the Month, Erika!

Izael Perez is an 8th grader whose proud parents are Pascual and Lorena Perez. His favorite subjects in school are Math and Sign Language, and his favorite food is tacos. Outside of school, his favorite things to do are cooking and watching Netflix. His dream job is to become a professional cook. One totally anonymous teacher said, “Izael is polite and respectful, and has a great sense of humor (especially when he’s launching huge binder clips at me…not on purpose!). He works hard and is a leader when he works in a team. He sets a great example of what a good student should do.” Another teacher reported, “Izael is the most conscientious student, polite and respectful to everyone in class. He works hard and puts forth his best effort in all class assignments. He’s usually the first to get working and then be finished, and he is always willing to help others complete to their best as well.” Congratulations on winning Student of the Month, Izael!

Kendall Marshall is an 8th grader whose proud parents are Heidi and Mike Marshall. Her favorite subject is History, her favorite food is pizza, and her favorite hobbies are reading and playing video games. Kendall loves just being outside, and her dream job for the future is to work with cats. One teacher said, “Kendall is a very respectful, responsible young lady. She has put effort and time into everything we’ve done in class this year; no matter if it is a team project, helping partners and classmates, or just studying and preparing for a test, she takes learning so seriously. It is awesome to see.” Another teacher, “Kendall is an outstanding student who pays quiet attention to detail. She puts tremendous effort into her own learning, and is responsible and asks questions when she has them. Her polite, reserved, gentle personality has a calming effect on her classmates. It has been wonderful getting to know her this year.” Congratulations on winning Student of the Month, Kendall!
