5th Grade: Eva Newman
Eva has been selected as the 5th grade Student of the Month. Eva’s favorites include the color blue, cats, and eggs and bacon. Eva’s favorite subject this year is Social Studies. In her freetime Eva enjoys writing and drawing. This year Eva likes school because she has fun teachers and great friends. Her favorite teacher this year is her math teacher, Mrs. Echeita. This year Eva wants to get good grades and improve her handwriting. She also wants to make sure she has great relationships with her friends.
Eva’s band teacher reported, “Eva is a hard working student. She is turning into a fabulous musician. She comes in for extra help and then shares her learning with her peers. She is a great addition to our band!” Eva’s math teacher noted, “Eva always strives to do her best and puts in the effort to improve her understanding of new concepts.Eva doesn’t give up even when she’s frustrated, which is an important life skill.She is kind and respectful to everyone and works well with her peers. But most importantly (not really), she laughs at my lame jokes.” Eva would like to thank her mom for supporting her. Congratulations, Eva.
6th Grade: Glendy Pablo Lorenzo
Glendy Pablo Lorenzo was selected by staff for being respectful, responsible, and safe. Glendy likes the color pink and bunnies. Her favorite food is a cheeseburger. Glendy’s favorite subject is ELA this year. Glendy’s hobby is cheerleading. Glendy likes school because she gets to play with her friends.
Glendy has set the goal to study more this year and earn all As. Glendy’s math teacher said,”Glendy is a very kind and hard working student. If she is struggling with her work, she asks for help either from her peers or from the teacher. She always checks in on how to increase her grade if it is lower than she would like it to be. Glendy is very kind to everyone around her and always does what is asked of her. Congratulations on the award, Glendy! I appreciate your daily hard work and the kindness you show to everyone.”
Glendy’s ELA teacher believes, “Glendy is a shining example of kindness and always goes out of her way to help her classmates. She gives her best effort on every assignment, showing dedication and a positive attitude that inspires those around her.” Glendy would like to thank Ms. Klebe for supporting her. Good job, Glendy!
Glendy Pablo Lorenzo fue seleccionada por sus maestras por ser respetuosa, responsable y segura. A Glendy le gusta el color rosa y los conejitos. Su comida favorita es una hamburguesa con queso. La materia favorita de Glendy es ELA este año. El pasatiempo de Glendy es la porrista.
A Glendy le gusta la escuela porque puede jugar con sus amigos. Glendy se ha fijado la meta de estudiar más este año y obtener calificaciones de A’s en todas las clases. La maestra de matemáticas de Glendy dijo: “Glendy es una estudiante muy amable y trabajadora. Si tiene dificultades con su trabajo, pide ayuda a sus compañeros o al maestro. La maestra de ELA de Glendy cree que “Glendy es un brillante ejemplo de amabilidad y siempre se esfuerza por ayudar a sus compañeros de clase. “Ella da su mejor esfuerzo en cada tarea, mostrando dedicación y una actitud positiva que inspira a quienes la rodean”. 7th Grade: Cody Gaydeski
Cody Gaydeski is Forks Middle School’s 7th grader selected for Student of the Month for January. Cody’s favorite food is pasta, and he enjoys making it in his freetime. Cody likes the color green. His favorite subject this year is History. Cody likes school because of the friends he has there.
Cody has the goal of cooking more this year. Cody’s ELA and Leadership teacher noted, “Cody is incredibly kind and a hard worker. He is a student that I can always count on to do the right thing, even when those around him might not be. He lends a hand when others need it and is a quiet voice for good in any room that he enters.”
Cody’s Social Studies teacher said, “Cody does an excellent job asking questions and staying engaged in class. He is always interested in what we are learning and is a great role model for his fellow students.”
One final comment from Cody’s math teacher, “Cody Gaydeski is a very hard working student. He faces challenges head on and stays with it until he figures it out. He knows he can accomplish difficult things and does not ask for short-cuts. He is kind and helpful to all students and adults. I appreciate his calm demeanor. He is a wonderful asset to our school community.” Cody would like to thank his parents for supporting him. Keep up the good work Cody.
8th Grade: Xavier Soto
January’s 8th grade Student of the Month is Xavier Soto. Xavier likes the color maroon, frybread, and dogs. His favorite subject this year is CTE (Career Technical Education). In his freetime, Xavier likes to play video games.
Xavier enjoys school because he likes to hang out with his friends and see his favorite teachers. This year Xavier wants to get on Honor Roll again. Xavier’s science teacher said, “Xavier is always in a happy mood, he always comes in smiling and saying hello. He is always respectful and gets along with others and he loves to play games and work in teams. He is a great addition to the 8th grade.”
One staff member noted Xavier is, “Always smiling and positive! (He)Welcomes everyone with a good morning, and tries hard on his work.” Xavier would like to thank our staff members Madison Riebe and Lorrie Justus Shields for supporting him. Way to go Xavier!
