The Forks Athletic & Aqautic Club is planning a grand opening on Friday, Dec. 16. The new exercise and fitness club is located in the Forks Aquatic Center building adjacent to the Forks Community Center on Maple Ave.
Doors to the fitness center are scheduled to open on Saturday, Dec. 10, said FAAC owner and operator Ruby Swaggerty.
The 10,000-square-foot facility features a lap pool, a brand new Precor exercise machine system, treadmills, water aerobics equipment and more. A fresh juice bar is also being opened at the entrance to the fitness center.
Swaggerty proposal to reopen the long-shuttered Forks Aquatic Center was accepted by the Quillayute Valley Parks & Recreation District earlier this year.
She said a grand opening/Christmas special is being offered from Dec. 10 through 16, with monthly membership set during the offer at $30 per month, or $325 per year. The price is inclusive of all lessons and programs, Swaggerty said.
