Robert L. Kenney of Forks was sentenced to 40 months in state prison for possession with intent to manufacture or deliver methamphetamine last week in Clallam County Superior Court.

Kenney, 45, agreed to plea guilty to the Class B felony in exchange for the dismissal of charges for delivery of methamphetamine and heroin.

Forks police arrested Kenney on June 26 on outstanding warrants along with charges of obstructing a law enforcement officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jason Vlada, team supervisor for the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team or OPNET, said Kenney sold methamphetamine to an agency informant in January.

Police, according to their report, saw Kenney while investigating a noise complaint.

The officers were informed by children at the scene that Kenney and a woman had been smoking drugs and playing loud music.

After a brief foot chase by Officer Donald Ponton, Kenney was arrested. The report said officers found 2.5 grams of methamphetamine, one gram of heroin, 20 lorazepam pills, 1.5 grams of marijuana, a scale, baggies, syringes, a metal spoon, knives, wigs and a police scanner in Kenney’s red backpack.
