Two men suspected of involvement in meth sales in Forks were arrested on Thursday, March 10 in a joint effort by the Forks Police Department (FPD) and the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team (OPNET).

According to a FPD press release sent by Forks Police Chief Doug Price, Steven A. Nielsen, 25, and Roger A. Carnett, 25,  were arrested following the serving of two court-authorized search warrants. The warrants aimed at uncovering sales of methamphetamine and prescription medication.

In the ongoing investigation additional arrests are suspected, the news release stated.

Search warrants were served in the Rain Forest Mobile Home Park and an R.V. Park located near G Street in Forks.

“Both arrestees are residents of Clallam County and both were charged with delivery of a controlled substance,” the FPD statement said. “Carnett was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.”

Reports from the investigation are to be forwarded to the Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office for formal filing of charges.

Price, who joined the FPD on Feb. 1, has told local community groups to expect drug arrests within the city limits of Forks. Price is a Washington State Patrol veteran with years of experience in drug investigations.
