On Saturday, Nov. 20, Clallam-Jefferson County Pro Bono Lawyers will present a virtual legal aid clinic, a free program offering legal advice for members of the public.
Consultations will be offered via telephone or Zoom.
We are offering 3 types of service for this event:
1.) In partnership with the Clallam Public Defender’s Office, there will be consultations available for people who have been impacted by the Blake Decision regarding possession of controlled substance convictions.
2.) Public defense lawyers and volunteer attorneys will assist individuals with applying for relief from legal financial obligations for Clallam County criminal convictions of all types.
3.) Attorneys will be available for consultations for civil law matters (family, landlord/tenant, estate planning, etc.).
Legal aid clinics are geared to help those who are financially unable to otherwise access a lawyer. Attorney volunteers will be available from 10 a.m. to noon, to answer legal questions, direct people to local services that might be able to assist them and to explain the legal process to them.
Clients must pre-register for this event by calling 360-504-2422 or by emailing probonomary@gmail.com People are asked to register no later than Wednesday, November 10th.
Once registered, additional directions for the event will be provided. Attendees are also encouraged to have relevant legal documents with them during consultation(s).
