The Clallam County Historical Society’s garage sale begins with Members Only night on Aug. 23 from 4-6 p.m. Memberships may be purchased up to the opening of the afternoon’s event. Dues are $25 for senior citizen, $30 for an individual and $35 for a family.
Regular sale days are Aug. 24 and 25 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Half-price day is Aug. 31, and Buck-a-Bag day is Sept. 1. Hours for the second weekend are 8 a.m.-2 p.m. All proceeds from the sale benefit the Society’s mission to preserve and share our local history.
2018 marks the 24th — and final — garage sale for the Society. Members of the organization and the community have been generous with their donations, and volunteers have spent almost 2,000 hours over the past five months getting the merchandise ready for display and sale. Shelves are full of household goods; books; quilting material; sewing machines; tools; men’s, women’s and children’s clothing; holiday decorations; craft materials; dolls; jewelry, puzzles and games, gardening items; a wonderful collectibles and antiques department and so much more. Artwork covers the walls. The Society’s fabulous volunteers will be on hand to assist you with your purchases.
The sale is held at the Lincoln School site on the corner of 8th and C Streets in Port Angeles. Access is off of West 9th St., and parking is available on the site’s lot on the west side of the school.
