Sarah Huling, a sonographer and radiology technologist at Forks Community Hospital, was recently selected as one of 16 fellows to the National Rural Health Association. Huling will participate in a yearlong intensive program aimed at developing leaders who can articulate a clear and compelling vision for rural health in America.
Huling joins a distinguished group of healthcare professionals; CEOs, scholars, VPs and research associates from all over the United States.
Huling said, “I found the NRHA in my search for leadership and staffing solutions for the hospital when FCH was in the middle of the administration turmoil. I applied to the program and got in!”
Huling will join the other NRHA Fellows at the first meeting in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 7-9. Huling would like community input before she goes. Please send your thoughts on what things you think could improve rural healthcare in our area to shursh333@yahoo.com.
