Washington State Patrol is reporting that 58-year-old Forks resident Willie E. Gilley was involved in a one-vehicle accident at around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday near Amanda Park, MP 127-Hwy 101. Gilley was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and was southbound when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, the driver overcorrected and slid broadside going into the southbound ditch. When the vehicle rolled the driver was ejected.

Gilley was transported to the Community Hospital in Aberdeen and then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The vehicle was towed by Aberdeen Tow. WSP reports drugs or alcohol was involved in the crash and the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident remains under investigation.
