Theater to present “Jack and the Beanstalk”

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of “Jack and the Beanstalk” Monday, Jan. 20, from noon to 2 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at noon and plan to stay for the full two hours. Doors will open at 11:45 a.m.

A permission/emergency contact form is required to audition-please come in to fill out the form prior to the audition. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are Jack, Mother, Milky White, the Magic Harp, Farmers, Merchants, the Giant, Jill, Circus Performers, and Wonder Beans. Students, Kindergarten-12th grades are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Student Assistant Directors must audition and will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30-8 p.m. except for Early Release Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

“Jack and the Beanstalk” will be presented on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., in the Forks High School Commons.
