Prepare the lures! Dust off the fishing poles! Set the alarm clock!

The West End Sportsmen’s Club is holding their annual Kids’ Fishing Day on Sunday, May 6 at the  Bogachiel Hatchery Rearing Pond from 6:00 am to noon.

The West End Sportsmen’s Club rules list:

• All children age 12 and under can fish.

• Roped-off section for age 5 and under

• There is a limit of the first 5 fish caught.

• No catch and release, please.

• Free poles and bait available for use by any child.

• Please park in the parking lots near the Bogachiel River. 

• Bathrooms are located half-way around the pond and at one end.

There’s free hot cocoa and food for children at the Forks Elks Club’s food trailer.

Donations are welcome to help keep the event running.
