Dana Hubbard, blues guitarist, to perform live at Quillayute River Resort, Sunday afternoon, May 15 at 3 p.m.
Dana Hubbard is a socially conscious singer/songwriter and master acoustic blues guitarist. Winner of the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival Acoustic Blues Competition, the Indie International Songwriting Contest for Folk/Acoustic, and the American River Music Festival Musician Showcase, Dana addresses issues of environmentalism and social injustice in a voice that sometimes growls, and sometimes lilts or laughs, but the man always has a twinkle in his eye – a social activist soul with a bluesman’s grin.
Artists he’s played with include Jesse Winchester, Sam Bush, David Wilcox, Greg Allman, Etta James, Little Feat, Robert Cray, Albert King, Charlie Musselwhite, Joe Ely, John Hammond, Chris Isaak, and David Lindley.
Come listen to Dana live on Sunday afternoon, May 15 at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $20 per person, which includes, for those who are interested, a chili and cornbread dinner following the performance.
All proceeds go to the artist. Attendance is limited to 30 people. Reserve your place by calling Quillayute River Resort at 360-374-7447, or by clicking the event link at www.QRiverResort.com.
