Long lost axe …discovered at Elwha Bridge project

This axe rested submerged under the cold waters of Lake Aldwell for almost 100 years until the quick eyes of Ceccanti, Inc.’s excavator operator Jose Perez-Soto recognized the historical artifact as being more than just another stick.

Interestingly, river stones have embedded themselves into the axe head. Jose, wanting to preserve the axe for all to see, has donated his find to the Forks Timber Museum where it is now on display.
