The Makah Cultural and Research Center (MCRC) will kick off the celebration of its 40th anniversary by offering free museum admission Saturday, June 8.
In addition, the MCRC will feature a lecture by Dr. Gary C. Wessen on Monday, June 10, at 6 p.m. in the Makah Museum’s Classroom.
The museum hours will be extended that day as well.
Watch for other summer events to commemorate the MCRC’s 40th anniversary!
Dr. Wessen’s lecture is titled “Makahs, Quileutes, and the Precontact History of the Northwestern Olympic Peninsula, Washington.”
Dr. Wessen was one of the site directors at the Ozette Archaeological Project during the 11-year excavations and has worked extensively throughout Western Washington during his career.
