Many hands make a load lighter

Seeking Volunteers for Orchard and Garden at Hoko River State Park. Friends of Hoko River State Park/Clallam Bay Sekiu Lions are maintaining the apple trees and gardens this summer. As vegetables and trees grow, so grows the need for volunteers. We are seeking folks who would like to help with weeding, thinning and harvesting vegetables, and also re-building the elk barriers around the apple trees in the orchard.

Cowan Heritage Area is open for visits and volunteer work on Sundays from 2-4 pm. Volunteers may schedule times to work that are convenient. To visit, take Highway 112 to Hoko-Ozette Road. Turn south and look for the farm on your left. For more information, call 360.963.2442.
