The Messy Palettes announced award winners from its special Fun Days Art Show held last month during the Sekiu-Clallam Bay Fun Days celebration.
Jack Winn’s “Seal Rock with Stellar Seal Lion was named Best in Show by attendees in the People’s Choice category. Marissa Wonderly’s “Sea Star” was the People’s Choice winner in the children’s art category.
Mary K. Michelena’s “Labryinth” won the People’s Choice in crafts.
Memorial Award winners were: Mark Bowlby Award: “Poppy Garden” by Flora Finley; Elizabeth Barlow Award: “Sekiu Low Tide” by Judy Rice; Helen Purviance Award: “Holding the Puppies” by June Bowlby; Dan Blevins Award: “Forget Me Not” by Flora Finley.
Other People’s Choice Arts Awards were: First place, “Forget Me Not” by Flora Finley; Second place, “Sekiu Low Tide” by Judy Rice; Third place, “Lavender Pansies” by Barbara Hull; Honorable Mention, “Morning” by Jeanette Gilmore.
Other Children’s Art winners were: First, “Dancing Octopus & Squid” by Riley Howell; Second, “Starry Night” by Desiree Jauregui; Third, “Cupcake” by Desiree Jauregui; Honorable Mention, “Spring Trees” by Miriam Wonderly.
Other People’s Choice Craft Awards were: First, “Peacock” by Mary K. Michelena; Second, “Crescent Lake Rug” by Judy Rice; Third, “Olympic Forest Rug” by Judy Rice; Honorable Mention, “Umbrella” Mary K. Michelena.
