HANSEL & GRETEL
An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of HANSEL & GRETEL Monday, Jan. 16, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at noon and plan to stay for the full two hours (doors will open at 11:45 a.m.). A permission/emergency contact form is required to audition-please come in to fill out the form prior to the audition. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Among the roles to be cast are those intrepid adventurers – Hansel and Gretel, their Granny, the Wildwood Witch and her loyal servants the crafty cooks, modern-day campers – somehow lost in time in the wood, lots of Rascals – denizens of the deep and a flock of cuddly Wallybirds. Students, grades Kindergarten-12th are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Student Assistant Directors must audition and will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30-8 p.m., except for Early Release Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2:30 – 7 p.m.
HANSEL & GRETEL will be presented on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the Forks High School Commons. Ticket prices will be $5 for adults, $4 for Seniors (55+), and Children/Students are free.
