Missoula Children’s Theater auditions Monday, Jan. 17

APPLESEED

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of JOHNNY APPLESEED Monday, Jan. 17, from Noon – 2 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at noon and plan to stay for the full two hours (doors will open at 11:45 a.m.). A permission/emergency contact form is required to audition-please come in to fill out the form prior to the audition. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. Masks are required for cast members for all rehearsals and performances, as well as for audience members at the performances!

Among the roles to be cast are Johnny Appleseed; the Kiddoes, the Pioneers; Sir Peter Prescott and his sidekick Rupert; the Fife & Drum Soldiers; Lewis & Clark; A group of Western Animals; and the Apple Seeds. Students, grades Kindergarten-12th are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Student Assistant Directors must audition and will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30 – 8 p.m. (except for Early Release Wednesday, 1/19/22, 2:30 p.m.-7 p.m.).

JOHNNY APPLESEED will be presented on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 3 and 5:30 p.m. in the Forks High School Commons. Ticket prices will be $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for children 3-17, and children under two are free. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Forks is brought to you by Quillayute Valley School District with support from the Forks Forum and the Woodland Inns.
