A new ballot drop box has been placed in the lobby located between the City of Forks office and Forks District Court in Forks City Hall, 500 E. Division Street. The drop box meets the ADA standards for voting drop boxes and was purchased by the Help America Vote Act grant awarded to the Clallam County Auditor. The box will be available 24/7 during election time and locked between elections. Sabrina Bees, Forks District Court Administrator, will remove ballots and have them transported to the Port Angeles Courthouse in locked pouches.
Other ballot drop boxes are located in Sequim in the City Hall parking lot, and at the Clallam County Courthouse in Port Angeles. Information printed on the ballot envelopes gives address and hours of drop box locations.
Ballots for the Primary election are scheduled to be mailed on Wednesday, July 18.
