John Anderson has been Forks only licensed plumber for years. Now a new John is taking over this vital job, and John Anderson can retire, relax and focus on a an exciting new project that’s focused on his beachcombing hobby.
Anderson introduced John Coon, owner of Port Angeles-based Coon Plumbing, at the Forks Chamber of Commerce meeting held Wednesday, March 6 at JT’s Sweet Stuffs.
“We’ll keep the price reasonable,” Coon said.
Coon said he and his associated John Freitas will be traveling out to Forks to handle plumbing jobs, and will be on call seven days a week. An hourly cost will have travel time factored in. He said Anderson’s business phone number will soon be rolling over to his line. The firm also does work in Port Townsend and the Port Angeles area.
Coon is setting up a workshop in Forks, and will have two trucks available to handle plumbing jobs on the West End. He said he has ten years experience in the plumbing trade. Typical jobs include clearing drains and plumbing repairs, he said. Anderson is helping Coon sign up for the City of Forks’ small works roster.
Anderson told the Chamber he is scheduled to travel to Japan to be the focus of a Japanese tsunami debris reality cable television production with a working title of “Lost and Found”. A Toronto-based crew plans to have him return items found on the Washington state coast to the owners of the objects who live in the tsunami-devastated regions of northeast Japan. Among the items, Anderson said, is a white volleyball signed by a high school team.
