Winter Storm Warning – National Weather Service Tuesday afternoon forecast

 Tonight: Snow. Low around 27. West northwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. 

Wednesday: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 31. East northeast wind around 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible. 



Wednesday Night: Snow. Low around 23. East southeast wind between 7 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Due to the arrival of another potentially difficult winter storm, Clallam Transit will continue into Wednesday the service plan (outlined below) which was announced earlier this morning.  If the expected weather pattern and resulting snow accumulations change dramatically from what is predicted, CTS will adjust service levels as necessary and will provide route and schedule updates to the public as needed.

Clallam Transit continues to operate all buses today (Tuesday, Jan. 17) but many routes and schedules have been revised as a result of the continuing snowfall.

 ·        #10 JOYCE, the bus will turn around at the intersection of Hwy 112 and Lyre River Road.

·        #14 FORKS: will not be routed by Peninsula College in the afternoon.

·        #20 COLLEGE/MEDICAL CENTER: leaving Gateway hourly only at :55 in the morning and leaving at :05 after each hour in the afternoon.  No service to Melody Lane and once the bus reaches Peninsula College there is no service along Ennis Street, instead the bus will backtrack to Race Street and then to First Street to resume route.

·        #22 LINCOLN/PEABODY: Once an hour service leaving Gateway hourly only at :55 in the morning and leaving at :05 after each hour in the afternoon.  No service above Park Street (along the Alhvers Loop), No service on Whidby/Eunice Loop.

·        #24 CHERRY HILL: Once an hour service leaving Gateway hourly only at :55 in the morning and leaving at :05 after each hour in the afternoon.

·        #26 WESTSIDE: Once an hour service leaving Gateway hourly only at :55 in the morning and leaving at :05 after each hour in the afternoon , no trips to Lower Elwha as bus will turnaround at Dry Creek School.

·        #52 DIAMOND POINT: No service to the beach as bus will turn around on the top of the hill at the airport.

·        For DIAL-A-RIDE services in Sequim: limited service will be available. 

·        For PARATRANSIT ADA SERVICES: today, there will continue to be limited services and individual trips may be altered due to conditions.  For Wednesday, only medical necessity trips will be scheduled.
