ONRC will be hosting a Rosmond Evening Talk on Tuesday, August 13 at 7 p.m. Join us for a presentation by the ONRC summer intern crew titled, “ONRC Internship 2024: A Perfectly Perilous Summer”.
The 2024 ONRC intern crew will present an evening talk on their experience working on several forest ecology and management research projects this summer. The crew collected tree seedling and understory data at the ethnoforestry field trials, re-measured one of the long-term ecosystem productivity study sites in the Willamette National Forest in Oregon, and completed the first round of post-harvest monitoring on the Type 3 Watershed Experiment. Listen to their eventful summer experience navigating wildfires, seeing exciting wildlife, and learning a tremendous amount about the forests and people on the Olympic Peninsula.
Join us in person in the Hemlock Forest Room at the Olympic Natural Resources Center at 1455 S. Forks Ave, Forks, WA. Or, listen via zoom using this link: https://washington.zoom.us/j/3834334539. If you can’t make it to the talk, you can always watch the recorded presentation later on the ONRC website here.
ONRC Rosmond Evening Talks is funded through the Rosmond Family Education Fund, an endowment that honors the contributions of Fred Rosmond and his family to forestry and the Forks community.
