What goes on inside the Big Orange Building on the corner of 8th and Peabody Streets?

On Saturday, July 13, the County Genealogical Society (CCGS) is hosting an Open House and Ice Cream Social between the hours of 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. All are welcome to explore the interior and discover the events that take place in the CCGS research building.

Free Ice Cream and cookies will be served during the Open House

Special Guests from the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.), the North Olympic History Center, the Sequim Museum and Arts, and Olympic Peninsula author, Glynda Peterson Schaad will be present.

History is alive in Clallam County.

The D.A.R. will be able to tell you what one needs to join this outstanding organization, and of all the projects they are involved in. The History Center can introduce you to their on-line museum of early artifacts of Clallam County. The Sequim Museum and Arts can tell visitors about their “The Boys in the Boat” and the Mastodon display, and about the early people of Clallam County. Glenda Peterson Shaad will bring her popular books about early pioneers and tell how she discovered their stories.
